Devista was born to be a menace. Handcrafted with specialised components, allowing you to keep the ball with you at all times, it moulds tightly to your foot to reduce the space between you and the game. Engineered from sustainably-sourced, high performance materials, we make sure your game impacts the pitch, rather than the planet.
“With the Devista you’re getting a lot of comfort. The relationship between your foot, the boot and the ball is there.” - Tom Cleverley
“I would like to think that seeing the Devista, the quality, would be convincing enough for anyone to support Sokito.” - William Troost-Ekong
Try out the Devista today, and see how it changes your game.
Take a look through the materials we're currently using for the Devista, and the innovative changes we're looking to make in the future. Even though we're already the most eco-friendly boots, we're always wanting more ways to make our boots 100% sustainable.
I really respect Sokito and your mission to change the game.
I really respect Sokito and your mission to change the game. Football is a very masculine/testosterone heavy sport so trying to bring issues about the environment and veganism without getting ridiculed is sometimes tricky. Sokito allows the conversation to happen naturally and highlights the ways even boots have an impact on the environment.

...the best and most comfortable boots I’ve ever had...
Got my Devista Vegan in size 8 and 3 games in - what a boot. Easily up there with both the best and most comfortable boots I’ve ever had in 30+ years of playing football. Nice work

...comfortable and lightweight…
Love them! I have a dodgy Achilles so needed a pair of boots which were comfortable and lightweight… they certainly are both. Love them in all white too as I don’t wear any black footwear! I think they are sexy boots.

Sokito's mission completely aligns with my beliefs
Sokito's mission completely aligns with my beliefs. Looking to buy a further pair of FG boots when I can afford them and already trying to spread the word of the brand to fellow players

...I’m proud to support it
I think the boots are brilliant, love the style and feel of them. I like the value of the company also and I’m proud to support it.
They are slightly tighter than normal other boots but it’s nothing too major.

Fit like a glove
Thought they were too small initially despite ordering 0.5 size up, but after first use and a bit of a stretch they are bang on. Fit like a glove.

Very impressed...
Very impressed with the first wear. Played on a pretty average AG pitch and the studs were good on it. Like the plate stiffness. Was a but worried about the toe volume but like all good leather boots it broke in quick- moulded in 10 mins of a warmup and kept the shape nice. Heel pocket initially I thought could have been a touch deeper, but the sock liner gave in and it was good after 15 mins.

The boots are great
The boots are great. Slightly pricey but when you work it out instead of buying cheap and the boots have a positive impact it’s worth it.

...most comfortable boots if have ever worn
As a professional footballer and hopefully joining Leeds utd or Derby city in January I have to say the are the most comfortable boots if have ever worn. I wore them playing for Northern Ireland against England u21s at Goodison Park few weeks ago and several players commented on your boots. I was full of praise about their comfort and strength of your boots.

Comfy, light, leather feel - ideal
Love the boots – have two pairs (hard and soft ground) and feel they offer exactly what I need. Comfy, light, leather feel - ideal

They're breathtaking - 9/10 boots
I've just trained in them; they're breathtaking - snug but not too tight. I took some spare insoles from experience, but I didn't need them. 9/10 boots

Wearing Sokito aligns with my own morals and values...
As a plant-based former Professional and current semi-Professional footballer I was delighted to discover a company that offer a sustainable and ethical approach in the football industry. Wearing Sokito aligns with my own morals and values which I think is important to represent each time you walk out on the football pitch.

So far so good!
Boots are historically a wasteful industry and leather is pretty environmentally degrading (and bad for animals). A mission poised at remedying this I think is great.

I love the Devista
I like the design being quite simple but the material feels quality and didn't need any break in time and were a great fit for me. I look forward to buying from you again in the future.

Love the look and feel of the boot
Love the whole concept and love that there is a vegan option. It's near impossible to find an actual certified Vegan football boot!

...they support a deadly combo of both speed, agility and technique.
My Sokito boots are extremely comfortable, perfect to maintain a good touch and control, whilst still having enough padding to allow for tackling and striking the ball. They are surprisingly lightweight, meaning as an attacking fullback they support a deadly combo of both speed, agility and technique.
I would definitely buy them again in terms of both aiding my performance on pitch and supporting current issues around sustainability in both football and globally.

...fits like a glove...
Fit of the shoe is the best I’ve had from any pair of boots whether it’s been Nike Adidas or Puma.
Boots are extremely comfortable. Outer leather fits like a glove when you put your fit on and moulds to your feet. Allowing the correct amount of movement depending on change of direction and action preventing slipping inside the boot.
Yes 100%, in the world we live in at the moment with sustainability being so pivotal, the price you pay for a quality pair of boots like these is perfect.
I think the design and the way they are put together is perfect for my feet and I know that if I do buy them they’re going to last longer than one season.

...they feel like an extension of my own feet...
The best way I can describe the fit of my Sokito’s is that they feel like an extension of my own feet, rather than something on the end of them.
More than being just comfortable, Sokito’s have changed the game for me. I can strike the ball cleaner than before, whilst still feeling light on my feet. Giving me the ability to ignite those quick, reactive sprints needed near the end of football matches.
I admit, I was a hesitant to spend slightly more money than I would usually on a pair of football boots. However, as with anything in life, you get what you pay for. The boots still feel, and look, as fresh as when I bought them.

...really high-quality...
They're pretty banging boots, thoughtI was getting a takedown-esque boot, ended up getting a really high-quality pair. Don't knock em til you try em.

Up there with the best boots I’ve had.
Up there with the best boots I’ve had. A light boot with ample protection. Most comfortable boots I’ve worn and I’ve had 100’s of pairs.
I must say I’ve not worn leather boots in over 10 years but happily wear yours as their so comfortable and surprisingly light.

They’re definitely the best fitting boots I’ve ever worn
Very comfortable boot, no problem with blisters even on a hard surface in a new boot.
Good support around the ankle, no slippage anywhere.
Really nice look and feel. Really clean look and a really good fit across the whole boot. Very nice to play in. Nice feel on both the instep and on the top of the boot but also feels protected and comfortable.
They’re definitely the best fitting boots I’ve ever worn.

Look good, feel good, play good...
I’ll start by saying Sokito are easily the comfiest boots I’ve worn. The interior of the boot feels so soft, almost sponge like with helps a lot with the contact feel with ball. They’re incredibly light which helps my game as forward who likes to dribble and take players on. Look good, feel good, play good comes to mind as the boot is very sleek and aesthetically pleasing on the eye. I can say with confidence I’ll be purchasing again as they’ve been an asset to my game and play style. Not to mention the environmental aspect of Sokito which makes that decision even easier.
Great work.

Honestly, they feel made to measure for me...
Out my collection off the top of my head I can’t think of anything as comfortable and lightweight that fits me well.
Honestly, they feel made to measure for me, literally spot on both length and width wise.

My performance with the boots improved...
The overall fit of the boot is just right. Tight but not uncomfortable tight and still have space to move about. I think the boots feel light to wear and personally I like blacked out and the retro style, so the style of the boot is good for me. My performance with the boots improved because I never had light boots before this, and it definitely helped me in game and training. I believe with the price of boots in the current market these boots are good value for money, and I would buy them again because of this.

Development period
Instead of designing a boot only to find out it wasn’t possible to make it eco-friendly, we reverse engineered a boot and packed as many eco-friendly materials into the shoe as possible. Each material factored in Performance, Planet and Price to give us the optimal performance boot.
Tech specs
Weight: 214g (comparatively speaking, this is similar to a Nike Mercurial, the most recognisable lightweight speed boot on the market)
Soleplate: FG (Firm ground) - For hard, dry grass and artificial turf surfaces.
SG (Soft ground) - Made for the UK’s wintery months, when playing surfaces are more of a swamp than a pitch. (Soft, Muddy and wet grass surfaces).
Non-slip grip
Our eco-suede lining is 85% recycled polyester, sourced from discarded plastic bottles. The material has a suede type texture, for a super soft ‘slipper-like’ touch and a non-slip grippy texture, to lock the foot into place.
Castor bean soleplate
Today, castor oil helps us to create sustainably produced plastic. Traditionally, your tupperware would be made from fossil fuels (unrefined petrol), which creates a shedload of CO2. But castor oil creates a renewable carbon variant without the nasty side effects. Castor oil is a feedstock that takes less than one year to grow and does not compete with the human or animal food chain. It is inherently drought resistant, requiring little irrigation or fertilisation. The percentage of renewable carbon is 87 - 91%.
Soft ground studs
Sokito was born in the UK, so we understand the need for grip when the pitch turns to a swamp. Our soft ground studs are produced from 100% aluminium, that’s all.
Aluminium fact of the day… 75% of all of the aluminium ever produced is still in circulation. It can be melted down and re-used countless times, which makes it perfect for the studs in the Devista.
Eco-foam insole
Sokito’s insoles are produced using eco-foam. Super lightweight with exceptional rebound properties, they’ll have you feeling like you’re running on clouds. Eco-foam contains 20% recycled rubber.
Stitching thread
Talk about an unsung hero. Stitching thread is rarely noticed, but without it, football boots would be nothing more than a pile of material. We eco-analysed every component in the Devista and replaced the traditional polyester thread with an alternative made from 100% recycled plastic bottles.
Heel Counter
A heel counter is a vital piece in the football boot puzzle. It provides structure and protection to the heel area and can play a vital part in the overall comfort of the boot. Ours sits between the upper and the lining and is made with TPE (40% of that being recycled). We have limited traceability on this material at the moment and are working on ways to certify the origin of the raw material.
Eco-suede lining
Recycled polyester is sourced from recycled PET bottles, which are collected, cleaned and spun into new polyester fibre. The lining in each pair contains 1.08 recycled bottles.
Engineered lacing system
Off-centre lacing opens surface area on the medial side of the shoe (the strike zone), allowing for cleaner contact, higher levels of control and greater shot power.
Comfort toe padding
The ‘package’ (combination of materials) in the toe area has been specifically designed to optimise both comfort and performance, with a mix of soft upper materials and strategically placed padding and protection.
Crafted by hand
European production allows for tighter controls on quality and employee working conditions, whilst minimising supply chain emissions. Our handmade production methods allow us to maximise material optimisation, ensuring less waste materials.
Eco-lastic tongue strap
Okay, it’s a small detail. And yes, it’s only on one of our boots. But every little detail matters to us at Sokito.
The elastic that holds down your fold over tongue is made with 70% recycled plastic bottles and 30% spandex (to make it stretchy).
Each pair contains 0.37 recycled bottles.
Eco-laces
Every Sokito shoelace is produced using 100% recycled polyester, from discarded plastic bottles. Each pair contains 1.09 recycled bottles, with the lace tips made from plant based cellulose too.
Upper reinforcement
The upper reinforcement is made from cellulose, which consists of 100% waste paper fibres. Collected from sustainable wood sources, we use the material to reinforce our boots. Its strength prevents overstretching but stays soft to move and mould to your feet. You’re protected, even if you can’t see it.
Kangaroo leather vamp
We used to believe k-leather was an ethical alternative to calf leather. We don’t believe that anymore. Which is why this is the last boot we will ever create with any animal product.
Cotton vamp reinforcement
Unless you’re like us and spend your days taking apart football boots, you likely won’t know that this component of a boot exists.
Football boots often require reinforcement in the vamp (toe area) to prevent overstretching. In leather boots, this is usually virgin nylon (not very good for mother nature). Sokito switched the plastic for a natural cotton material (better for mother nature). Right now we have limited traceability on the raw material but we’re working on ways to guarantee that all of our cotton is organic (best for mother nature).
Eco-suede insole top cloth
Our insoles are topped with a non-slip eco-suede, which is made up of 51% recycled polyester, produced from discarded plastic bottles.
The material locks the foot into place to prevent slipping and improve grip to help with push-off speed
Each pair contains 0.41 recycled bottles (size 9)
Innovation
As a planet positive brand, we’re committed to transparency. Here are the materials that we currently have to use but are working hard to find alternatives for:Stud tips – Virgin TPU – To guarantee abrasion resistance.Lasting insole – Polypropylene – To avoid stud pressure.Eyestay reinforcement - Fibreglass – To make sure lace holes don’t tear.Foam padding – Virgin materials – For consistent softness and rebound.Adhesive – Solvent based – To keep the boot in one piece.
Recycled Vegan Upper
The Devista Vegan upper, and parts of the Devista, are made from recycled carpet. Vegan approved, it mimics the touch and strength of traditional leather, whilst staying soft to mold to the feet. Produced with 35% pre-consumer recycled nylon and 10% post-consumer recycled nylon (remaining 55% PU), it makes use of waste carpet, so that scruffy old thing in your nan’s house can be subbed back in.
The world’s
most eco-friendly
football boot brand.
Good for your game. Good for the planet.
