Playing our part to

ensure there’s a

planet to play on

We’ve made a two footed commitment to create products from eco-friendly materials, in a way that challenges unnecessary waste. We don’t half-arse it when it comes to sustainability.

Our boots are made with at least 56% earth-friendly materials,

we won’t rest until it’s 100%.

RECYCLED PLASTIC

Plastic was once celebrated as the greatest invention of all time, but today, it’s one of the most deadly. Plastics and microplastics have made their way into nature, strangling our oceans, destroying ecosystems and tightening its chokehold on our planet.

We don’t want to fuel its devastation. Instead, we’ve chosen to omit single-use plastic in our products and give a whole host of recycled plastics a second-life. Every boot we make contains at least 2.5 recycled bottles whilst we also re-purpose rubber and your nan’s worn out carpet.

Where is the recycled plastic used?

In the upper, insole, laces, eco-suede inner lining, heel counter and the stitching thread.

CASTOR OIL

Castor oil shot to fame in the nineties as being nature’s laxative. Thankfully, science and tech have helped us find other uses for it. In fact, our outsole is produced from castor beans.

Today, castor oil helps us to create sustainably produced plastic. Traditionally, your mum’s tupperware is made from fossil fuels (unrefined petrol), which creates a shedload of CO2. But castor oil creates a renewable carbon variant without the nasty side effects.

Where is castor oil used?

In the lightweight outsole.

KANGAROO LEATHER

We’re upfront about our use of kangaroo leather and don’t hide behind the ‘K-Leather’ term. It’s as tough-as-nails, which is excellent for durability. It’s also incredibly soft, which ensures a comfortable and flexible fit. Kangaroo leather is a bi-product of wild kangaroo population control that's in place under strict governmental protocols to protect farming and agricultural practices in Australia. For this reason it’s the only animal product we will ever use.

Where is the kangaroo leather used?

In the super soft upper of some of our boots (Not the vegan one, of course).

CELLULOSE

Cellulo what now? Cellulose is material made from 100% waste paper fibres. Collected from sustainable wood sources, the material is used to reinforce the boot. It’s strength prevents overstreatching but stays soft to move and mould to your feet. You’re protected, even if you can’t see it.

Where is cellulose used?

Between the upper and lining.

We won’t stop until we start seeing change.

From materials to manufacturing, shipping to fair pay, we are constantly working to better our products and planet to create positive and far-reaching change.

FAIR WORKING CONDITIONS AND PAY

Unlike our competitors, we have implemented strict policies to ensure that no underage factory workers set foot in our plant, and that fair working conditions are respected. All of our production is done in Europe, exercising fair pay and feasible working hours.

NO SINGLE-USE PLASTIC, EVER

Single-use plastic causes devastating effects on our environment because it usually ends up in landfills or our oceans. Despite this, it’s still widely used in the clothing and footwear industry. We do things differently. We’ve developed our products around the idea of leaving minimal impact, which is why we never, ever use single-use-plastic.
